Us INFRASTRUCTURE The
institute has state-of-the-art computer laboratory with latest hardware, software
including multimedia systems with well-equipped instruction rooms. The center
has a local area network (LAN) with Pentium III Class Server. The Institute offers
flexible time schedule to make maximum use of lab even after scheduled hours. THE
CAMPUS D.CIT
is located in D-31 & 27, New Delhi South Extension (N.D.S.E.) Part-I, New
Delhi which is in the heart of the National Capital - South Delhi. The campus
is about 12 kms. from Indira Gandhi International Airport and 7 kms. from downtown
Connaught Place, New Delhi, India. The campus is a beautiful blend of architectural
innovation, functional convenience, ecology and conducive environment. The campus

D.CIT has rich library
with a large section devoted to textbooks supplemented by reference books in almost
all areas of Information Technology and Management. Library is also equipped with
carefully selected periodicals, journals (Indian and foreign), latest books and
publications in IT, Management, Personality Development, Ethics in Business and
other allied areas are also available for providing relevant research support
to the students.
INDUSTRY
ORIENTATION
D.CIT ensures an
effective academic-cum-professional interface between the institution and industry,
which emphasizes on practical orientation. D.CIT shall organize periodic visits
of students to reputed companies to facilitate:

Familiarity with
the functioning of organizations as an update of their course content. -
Interaction of students
with industry through in-course projects (Practical Industrial Programme - PIP)
and on the Job Training. -
Structuring
to match the changing needs of industry.
SUMMER TRAINING
All students are required to undertake
a project assignment in an organization. The project is intended to give students
a better appreciation of the practical problems and an opportunity to sharpen
their knowledge and skills. The students get full-time exposure, during this period,
to corporate world and first hand experience of their future career.
INTERNAL EVALUATION SYSTEM
The
academic evaluation system synthesizes a continuous process of assessment. The
evaluation system at D.CIT is designed to keep students continually informed of
their performance in relation to the required standards of academic achievement.
Marks are awarded to the students after the end of each term on the basis of their:

Discipline -
Participation in class
and co-curricular activities -
Observance
of rules regarding timely deposit of fees/ dues, library rules and other rules
/ orders issued by the school from time to time -
Class
participation, term papers, mid term tests, projects, quizzes, assignments, etc.
CAFETERIA
D.CIT
has its own in-house cafeteria, which provides nutritious and hygienic food at
reasonable rates to the students, faculty and staff members.
